Nutrition Program Coordinator

IRW’s International Programme Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Nutrition Coordinator’ for Yemen. The Nutrition Coordinator would be responsible to:

To manage the nutrition projects through coordinating with external and internal Islamic Relief department while leading the national nutrition team at capital and sub offices on developing and implementing nutrition program activities according to the donor, national nutrition cluster and national CMAM protocols.

The successful candidate must have or be:

  • University degree in pharmacy/nutrition/health, MPH or medical doctor will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of nutrition sensitive and nutrition specific projects.
  • Knowledge of nutrition survey/assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present nutrition project to non- nutrition managers.
  • Ability to manage and supervise nutrition IR Yemen and MoPHP staff in multiple and remote locations.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Good computer literacy skills.
  • Proven experience of working in relevant sector with International NGOs.
  • Ability to work independently and provide initiative in improving gaps in service delivery of nutrition projects.
  • To establish good working relationships with a variety of people.
  • To communicate clearly in writing and orally
  • To work under pressure and prioritize effectively
